Answer:
See the PMP Credential Handbook
Does the Charleston PMI chapter sponsor or recommend Project Management Training or PMO Prep classes?
Yes. See PM Training.
What are PDU’s?
Professional Development Units. PDUs reflect a certain amount of developmental activity and are the measure of the continual development required for maintaining the PMP credential.
How many PDUs must I obtain to remain a PMP?
In order to satisfy CCR program requirements and maintain an active certificate status, individuals who have attained the PMP credential must accrue and report a minimum of 60 professional development units (PDUs) during each 3-year CCR cycle, complete an Application for Certification Renewal and payment of the renewal fee, and reaffirm the Project Management Professional (PMP®) Code of Professional Conduct. For further information please view: PMP Continuing Certification Requirements
How can I get PDUs quickly?
Self study, attend Charleston Chapter annual event, attend monthly chapter meetings and presentations (Attending a 1 hour presentation earns 1 PDU), volunteer for Charleston Chapter activities
Note: It's a good idea to save any handouts as confirmation of your attendance, just in case you get audited. Reference the Meeting Archive page for information on past events.
